METAL is a universal connector made of diecast alloy for strong joints in all kind of boards. The two connector halves are inserted into pre-cut biscuit-grooves using screws. The workpieces are assembled staggered and slide in line with a parallel movement. METAL is designed for all joints, especially for pre-fabricated products (like back panels for chairs) which are to be transported unassembled. The connector is self-tightening and once installed, is no longer visible from outside. METAL can lock the connection in one direction simply by bending a tab outward in the desired direction using another connector and a hammer. Example: during the assembly of a cabinet, a METAL (locked in one direction, restrained by the back panel in the other direction) connection is as strong and as durable as a glued joint.*For all wood and board materials.
*Cut a slot with a plate joiner (Lamello biscuit # 20) and adjust the depth of the slot by using the micro-adjustment screw of the joiner. Insert the connector into the pre-cut slot and screw it on.
